Outlander

I don't know how I came across this series called Outlander, but I fell in love with this book! There are 7 books in this series so far, and I have only read the first 2 actually,I have read them twice each now. I borrowed this from another site that enjoys these books as well. So how do you classify a series of books that centers around the lives of a time-traveling WWII nurse and the man she loves, an 18th century Highlander? The answer is simple. You don't. You simply enjoy them for what they are and pass the addiction along to friends. Check out this site too http://www.hauntster.net/Diana_Gabaldon's_Outlander_Series.htm
All I can add is get the book, a cup of hot chocolate and a great spot to read and begin your journey with Claire and Jamie Fraser. You won't be disappointed.

Southern Vampire/Sookie Stackhouse series

Southern Vamps!!! LOVE this series!!! After reading Twilight saga and wanting more vamps, my cousin Wendy introduced me to Southern Vampire/Sookie Stackhouse series. Well this series did not disappoint I'll tell you that. I was so happy Sookie met Bill and fell in love with him. But then...ERIC came along and well sweep me off my feet! There are 9 books so far in this series and each one is as good as the next but I so far can't get enough Eric so when he is featured in the book the better it gets. But again I am a big Eric fan and am hoping that Sookie will stay with Eric although being that there is suppose to be more books released from this series I'm sure things will change. The next book, Dead in the Family is set to be release May of 2010. I can't wait for this book to be released I have read the series twice now and I want more!! Sookie who is the the heroine of the book is a telepath and works in Merlottes as a waitress. She works with Sam owner of Merlotte's and a shapeshifter. But Sookie doesn't find out about that right away. Sam has a crush on Sookie and Sookie has dreams that Sam stars in sometimes. Sookie is a town "freak" so to speak, because of her "disability" being a telepath. She doesn't date and people tend to stay away from here because of that. Well in come Bill a stranger in the town of Bon Temps. Sookie couldn't hear his thoughts and she became attracted to that. Then she finds out that he is a vampire. Well the fun begins and Sookies life is not the same. She meets Eric and many other vamps, werewolves, maenads, fairies and more. This is defiantly an adult read. Its also can be seen on HBO; we all know it as TRUE BLOOD! At least I believe most of us know it as that. The show doesn't follow the book exactly but the main characters are there. Back to the book. My favorites have to be book 4 and 9 by far. ERIC need I say more? Although Quinn offered something interesting, I still love Eric. Not to give anymore away, the books are great reads and highly recommend. A must read.

Vampire Diaries

Vampire Diaries...I for one was glad that the show followed the book for the most part. Knowing whats going to happen next isn't so bad. I was happy to have a Vamp show that I can watch with my teenager! So I was very happy with the premiere of Vampire Diaries I cant wait for next weeks show.

Twilight Saga

Twilight...this book series has taken us all for a whirlwind ride. Some of us never expected it either. I am one of those that was skeptical. My daughter had read the series and had been telling me about the books and I was totally not into it. I didn't want to really hear about the books let alone read them. Well the movie came and went with neiter my self or my daughter going to watch it. So now come the movie on DVD. Well I finally decided the if I am going to the DVD release at midnight, I may as well know more about these books. So my daughter Jeane let me read her Twilight book. FELL in LOVE!!!! I just loved Edward. Bella on the other had kinda got on my nerves. Hole other story, anyway I just loved the book and couldn't put it down. Let me say I read all 4 books in 4 days! No eating or sleeping I might add. I had to have the next book and so her friend let me borrow book 2 New Moon. Well I cried like a baby! I couldnt' believe how I cried. What a sap,but I was hooked with these characters now. Then came book 3, Eclipse and I borrowed from my cousin Wendy, who like my daughter Jeane had been a Twilight fan already. Well Eclipse was not disappointing. I loved dear Jacob even more so and cried so much when Bella saw her life with him in a kiss and still let him go. It broke my heart to hear Jacob howl in pain while Edward talked of marriage to Bella while in the tent. Again cried and I mean heaving crying. I felt Jacobs pain wanting and loving but knowing that that love is gone. I was the worst. Then came book 4 Breaking Dawn and again I went to cousin Wendy for that copy. Now it all makes sense, and I felt some comfort knowing that while Jacob did love Bella, there was more to that love then we all realized. And now he has Reneseme and Edward has Bella and they are where they each belong. So that was my journey threw Twilight. Little did I know that in 4 days I would fall in love with these characters of Forks and be as crazy about this series as my daughter and cousin Wendy are. Along with millions of others. Read Twilight Saga

Grease is the word that you heard

"GREASE" just saw it on the big screen again after 30years! I can't believe it's been that long. Grease is one of my favorite movies, I know almost all the words n of course all the songs! It's such a feel good movie you can't help but smile when it's over. I took my daughter with me to see it. It was cool sharing this movie with her on the big screen the way it was meant to be seen, because I love this movie so much. I'm glad she wanted to go with me. Wow how time flies, if you haven't seen Grease in a while or your a fan, it's time to pull that DVD out an start that movie. Brings back good memories of me dancing in my room for hours listening to the Grease Album! Yes Album, my favorite thing to do. Grease is the word it's got grove it's got meaning...

Micheal Jackson- The King of Pop

I still can't believe the Michael Jackson has died. I grew up listening to MJ. I was 9yrs old when Thriller came out, 10 when he moonwalked across my television! It was magic, he was magic. Every inch of my walls in my room were covered with pictures of Michael Jackson. Now here we are mourning his death while trying to celebrate his life.I wrote on Twitter earlier that MJ's music has broken racial, gender and religious barriers. His music will transcend generations to come. His was like no other before or since, his music, his moves are copied but no one has come close to the magic that was Michael Jackson. May he rest in peace.
